 Co-op Placement

Accredited by most Niagara boards of education, NTEC's co-op programs offer high school students with special needs a chance to experience a variety of occupational environments, so they may familiarize themselves with basic employer expectations and make more satisfying career preparation choices. Each placement gives participants real world work experience, as well as safety training, computer instruction, and life skill coaching. Co-op programs assist young people to transition out of their high school.

Occupational settings include:

• Horticulture - grounds maintenance, landscaping or greenhouse
• Food services and hospitality
• Bill and flyer delivery
• Waste management and recycling
• Quota-based production and assembly
• Custodial maintenance
