Light Automotive Assembly

Light Automotive Assembly

Several years ago, a partnership was developed with Edscha of Canada, a company that produces and assembles parts for most of the North American auto manufacturers.

Light Automotive Assembly At NTEC, the participants complete a partial sub-assembly of door checks and hinges, which are then shipped to the Edscha plant for final assembly.

Participants are exposed to real production rates and product quality that meet all industrial standards. The work skills associated with the program vary from simple to complex, and participants work together in a team-like environment to achieve their daily quotas.

Light Automotive Assembly NTEC also completes contracts for the Dana Corporation’s Splicer Driveshaft Division, to cut protective Vexar® mesh into specified lengths. This assembly, along with the others, is offered throughout the year with some minor fluctuations. Participants are involved in this program on a part-time basis, similar to other NTEC training programs.
