Enhanced Supported Living (ESL) Program

Enhanced Supported Living (ESL) Program

The Enhanced Supported Living (ESL) Program was introduced in 1996 as a program for individuals who require less than 24-hour support and possess some independent living skills.

The program is an extension of the Supported Living (SL) Program, which provides supports for people living in their own apartments who require minimal weekly supports.

Enhanced Supported Living (ESL) Program

Individuals reside independently in various locations within the community, and receive varying levels of support ranging from one hour per week to 24 hours per day, depending on the individual’s needs.

The focus of the ESL and SL programs is to promote independence in all areas of living - home maintenance and safety, recreation and leisure, financial, emotional and health.

These programs currently support up to 35 individuals.
